An Experience When I Have Read Someone Wrongly

This incident happened in Kuala Lumpur when I was 12. It was during the school holidays that my family had planned to enjoy ourselves after the whole long year of work and school.
After about five tiring hours walking from one shopping mall to another, we felt really exhausted and every step we took was hard. Like a toddler learning to walk.
It was 1.30 in the afternoon. We went to The Seafood Nasi Lemak stall for lunch. As we reached there, I was the first one to grab the chair. Huh! Finally. We ordered five plates of nasi lemak and can drinks. While waiting for the orders to be served, my family was talking about our plans for the following day. I didnt talk much as I was too tired. I looked around. Looking at the people and surrounding.
A few minutes later, a waiter came to serve us. While he was putting the plates on the table, I realised something. His eyes caught in one corner under the table. Okkkkkkayyyy.... In my heart I was like, "Why is he staring at my legs??" I felt awkward when he started to smile to himself. What is happening??! But I remained calm. Oh. Maybe my legs are just too attractive. haha. But I really got to know what is wrong with him. Without wasting my time, I quickly looked under the table. Oh my goodness!! Guess what?! I was wearing a slipper on my right leg and a high heel on the other side! This actually happened when I was busy putting on a pair of fabulous and wonderfully made high heels. I wanted to get that. Unfortunately,  my family was so hungry until we had to rush for lunch. So, meaning that I was walking out of the shopping mall with this condition. What an embarassing incident! And the worst part was that not even my parents, neither my brother nor my sister realised that!
As the waiter left, I told my family about it and that I left one side of my slippers at the mall. They laughed at me! hmph. Luckily, the shopping mall is just behind the stall. So, my sister and I had to get my slipper back and return the unpaid high heel. On our way to the shopping mall, I saw an old man sitting down by the roadside. His clothes torn and dirty. He had this sympathetic look in his face. I didnt know why I just felt pity for him. He seemed to have no one to take care of him.
I slowly approached him. He was sitting down in a position where his head was half bowed. I wanted to talk to him, but I didnt. I looked for a container around him for me to put some coins. I could not find one. My sister kept on calling me to be fast, but I ignored her. I didnt want to leave the old man without giving him anything. So, I put the coins on his lap and walked away.
Suddenly, I heard a voice calling. I was shocked. Is he the one who called me?? Without hesitation, I turned back. Yes! It was him. He was laughing. hah??! What did I do?? I kept quiet because I didnt know what to say. It felt like I was dreaming. Can you imagine an old and sick looking man can laugh loudly?? Finally he spoke. " Young lady, Im not a beggar even though I look like one." He could not continue. Again. He laughed. My sister and I were standing there as if we were dying! Then he said, " Girls, look at the camera behind you. We are actually having our shooting session for the new upcoming movie which is 'The Mysterious Beggar Part One'.
I was really SPEECHLESS! What have I done! I had ruined their movie's shots! Fortunately, they were not angry at me. I apologised with the most innocent look ever! And quickly ran into the shopping mall. I could not believe what I've just experienced. And because of that, I lose my appetite. I ended up skipping lunch. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiihhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Dear readers! The next time, think wisely before doing something. If you can't decide what to do, look around for an answer!
